Friendliest Faces Revealed

Specialist health insurer, National Friendly has announced Britain’s friendliest faces, after a nationwide search to find the UK’s friendliest face and personality has come to an end.

The first ever National Friendly Face Awards generated nominations from across Britain, but it was Susan Mudge from Peterborough that was crowned the UK’s friendliest person. Susan was nominated by her friend, Elizabeth Wood, who said Susan always gave up her time to listen and offer support to others – and all with a smile.

Coming a close second, Anne Martin from Ickenham was a worthy runner up; Anne was nominated by her husband John, who said she always does her best to make the world a happier place, through thoughtful gifts and letters she send to family and friends.

The final place went to 19 year old Joseph Holland from Wordsley, who judges thought was an excellent example to other young people. Nominated by his mother Jan, Joseph is said to be friendly and courteous to everyone he meets, young and old, and much loved by everybody who knows him.

National Friendly launched its awards scheme in recognition of the invaluable effect that positive and friendly people have on the community.  Such was the success of the National Friendly Face Awards that entries flooded in on behalf of unsung heroes from across the UK.

National Friendly CEO, Richard Sear, said: “Congratulations to all of our winners, who are all very worthy recipients of our first ever National Friendly Face Awards.  These people have all made a positive and friendly impact on the people around them and care very much about their well-being.”
